Merry Christmas

I don't talk often of spiritual things on my blog because they're personal and sacred to me, but here is an experience I felt I needed to share. I was listening to the radio the other day and the d.j. said "Merry Christmas everyone. Let me repeat that: Merry Christmas!" It really hit me at that moment how few times I've actually heard those words this season. Even Christmas has become a politically incorrect word, and I find that our society is "tolerating" it less and less. How tragic! When I heard those words on the radio that day, Merry Christmas, I got chills. I'm so grateful for this magical season that we have been given by our Savior, and for the opportunity that we have to celebrate not only his birth, but his glorious life and infinite atonement. It makes me want to shout the words, Merry Christmas, over and over! Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope it is a sweet one for all of you.

Cute family photo!

When I was younger, Christmas in my family was so heavily centered around Christ that I had the hardest time comprehending how anyone who isn't a believer could still find it to be as important of a holiday. My Mom still loves singing Christ-centered Christmas carols, like "Oh Come, Oh Come, Emmanuel," in the Fall when Messianics celebrate Jesus' birth.

On the Christmas music station here a D.J. said "Remeber the reason for the season: Family and Friends." I almost ran my car off the road gawking at my radio. Christ is the reason for Christmas!! How can people even try to cut Him out of a holiday that has his name in it?!?! I very much agree with your post. Any very much love your family picture :)
