Sending out an s.o.s.

What's happened to my baby?!  She won't go down for her naps, she gets these violent fits where she claws at my face, and she's started to dribble her yogurt all over the floor (from her mouth).  She's still a beautiful, wonderful baby, but I have to say that she's turned into quite the little handful.  I really had no idea how inadequate I could feel as a mother!  I feel like I've had discipline thrown at me so fast, and I'm not quite sure how to start.  Eric and I used to think we had this parenting thing down, but now we're not so sure!  We're learning a lot, I just hope it's fast enough.  We love her strong spirit and are so grateful for her ambition; now we're learning how to channel it!  I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about.  Right?  Right?

Oh the joys of discipline. I've been experiencing some difficulties in that area too b/c Lil suddenly decided whining is a good thing to do.

It'll be some fun times if we're able to get our little beautiful "terrors" together in Yellowstone. Kidding of course, they're both still precious!

My favorite line in there was "we thought we had this parenting thing down..." ha, ha... I can SO RELATE. Josh and I had a brief moment of saying, "that was the terrible two's? we're awesome." :) And then Jude turned 3 and a little switch turned on inside him and I started reading parenting books and asking for advice like no ones business. :)

You guys are doing great! I think Aspen is a very obedient little cutie with great manners!!

Oh my goodness Chelsi, you took the words right out of my mouth. Darian is hitting me - throwing her food everywhere, running from me. When I try to discipline her -she laughs! I'm in for it!

Right! It's crazy how no one can make you feel more incompetant than a toddler.
It's fun to see that you are doing some fun things out west.

Now you know why Kent and I have been scared to move on to #2. It's not so much that Braxton was an awful child. It's more that Braxton has been such a good natured child that I am afraid that either A. the next one will make up for all the horrible behavior we've missed out on with Braxton or B. Braxton will decide being a nice kid isn't quite so much fun any more. I think that my dream of having a big family has been shattered by the reality of having children. lol

This is a great shot, Chels! I think you are a great mom and I know you'll figure it out!
