Well I've had two children the last seven weeks now instead of one, and its had its highs and lows. The highs being that now I have two adorable faces to smother with kisses instead of one, that my days go by really fast because before I know it it's time to nurse my baby again, and lastly Eric and I can talk about our offspring by saying "the kids," and it makes us feel really grown up.
The lows have been really just one low, and that is that Oakley has a lot of gas. I mean a LOT of gas. The poor guy is passing it all day, and in the evenings feeding him can take as long as an hour or more because he's burping so much. Every evening he cries for about an hour-and-a-half to three hours because his tummy hurts from all those darn gas bubbles. It's been really hard for all of us, and I've tried everything in the book to relieve him. Has anyone else had experience with this?
At this point it looks like we just have to wait it out, which is really hard for me to accept. There has to be something I can do to help him!
On a different note, today I went running for the first time in a couple months and it was heavenly! I wish I could go every day, but until Spring comes and its light in the evenings I guess Jillian Michaels's 30 Day Shred will just have to do.

Okay, the 30 Day Shred is brutal. Brutal. But it's one of my favorites. :)

Have you tried cutting out dairy or gluten to see if that helps Oakley? A friend had a similar problem with her daughter because her daughter just couldn't handle ANY dairy - she would be up for hours afterwards all gassy.

Have you tried gas drops? They make them for infants. We've had to use them with Matthew.
And my cousin has now had to cut out all chocolate and dairy in order to help her baby.
