We've been sodding our yard the last couple days, and Aspen's been in heaven. She's taken advantage of the opportunity to get as dirty as humanly possible.
I'd like to draw some attention to her mudded-platform sandals.....
I was actually glad that she was out enjoying the mud and dirt, instead of being afraid of it (which I feared she was due to previous events). Boy did it bring back memories. Mostly of my brother and I playing on our empty property with our two cousins (Matt and Bethany) while our parents built our house.
Look at these kids! You can measure how much fun we had by the amount of dirt on our wee little faces :)

Oh my goodness, too cute! I love Aspen's hair, and cute face, and muddy sandals. I wish I lived by you so our kids could play.

As I was reading your post and looking at Aspen's photos I thought of this exact photo and then, surprise, there it was! What a wonderful memory to see that photo of us kids. Not that I remember that very day, but I've always loved that photo.
Your blog is always one of my favorites to read Chelsi!

I am one of those weird people that actually enjoy laying sod. It's one of those projects that shows immediate results and I love seeing my hard work pay off!

Aspen is getting so big! Cute.

I'm reading a book that says kids are like little cavemen and have to play in the dirt... oh so true :)
